While there can often be a bit of contention about nymphing for steelhead vs. swinging, the fact of the matter is that nymphing is flat out effective. If one limits themselves to just swinging a fly then they are missing out on some of their best oppurtunities to catch fish. On this page I cover some of my favorite nymph patterns that I use when targeting steelhead in the Pacific Northwest.
